Hello Rose Ferguson and everyone, I hope you are well. I just wanted to ask if Dr Mark is back in the clinic soon, please?

I’ve received a couple of amber test results on a recent health check and I’d like a functional medicine view on them, as I think they could be related, but my NHS gp looked at me like I was a crazy person.

If anyone has any experience, it relates to my egfr blood test result of 68 suggesting reduced kidney function, plus a positive urine test to do with epithelial cells which says it could be related to kidney or liver disease.

My total cholesterol was also flagged as amber @ 5.47, but tri, hdl, non-hdl and total hdl ratio are all in the green normal range.

I’m also wondering if this could be linked to the BV symptoms I keep experiencing. Oh the joys hey! xxx

Hello everyone, can I leave a question here to ask Dr Mark in the clinic this week, please? I noticed it’s about mitochondria health…my question is about NAD / precursors and should we be supplementing with it: is it worth all the hype?  I’ve tried the nuchido supp but it was a lot of capsules to take per day.

You now see a lot of influencers injecting themselves at home with pure nad liquid, but it’s very pricey and I imagine not right for everyone? If you have snps on certain genes (check2 in my case) should you avoid pure forms of nad, but be ok to take precursors in supplement form? Biostacks labs are meant to do a good one with Spermadine and resver in too. I’ve been looking at the Iam8 multi powder and think that has those in too…would this be a good option?

Thank you, Leanne xx

Hello Rose / ladies. I hope you’re all well. It’s been a crazy week my end and I’m just catching up.

I wanted to ask if you’re aware of a collagen powder which is as good as totally derma, but slightly less pricey? I’ve tried Totally derma a couple of times and it is brilliant for skin and hair etc, almost immediately, but I want one that I can buy on an ongoing monthly basis. I’ve tried Hunter and gather and the will powders bovine ones, which are great to put in meals and give to the children etc, but for skin and hair I don’t think they are a patch on totally derma, in my experience. I look forward to hearing what you think re recommendations. Thank you xx

Hello Rose / everyone, I hope you are doing well. I wanted to ask advice about hair loss and how to help hair growth, please. In the last 3 months I’ve noticed a big change in mine! I keep seeing different oils and scalp massagers online…topically, what is the best thing to try, and supplements wise too, please? I take collagen powder by the kilo but even that doesn’t seem to be helping. I’ve been using olaplex shampoo thinking that would help, but now realise it’s more for if you have extensions. What shampoos are good to try? Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you, Leanne xx

Hi Rose and the community. I’ve just joined and I’m loving looking through all the content. I did my first lighthouse strength yesterday, which was great! I wanted to ask, is there any information on here regarding high oestrogen and how to help the body detox and balance oestrogen, please? Sore breasts, flushes, bloating etc. I’ve balanced mine pretty well for a few years through sauna, supplements (from a dna test I have the naughty pathways) and exercise, but recently I can feel it’s all out of whack - probably stress related. Any advice would be much appreciated. I take NAC and c a dglucurate but thinking of adding dim back in…have a lovely weekend x
