moloney - a bout of food poisoning is no small thing for the bacteria on your gut. It upsets the system for days and weeks and sometimes years after you have recovered. The fibre in the lentil stew may have been a bit overhwelming for it. BUT oh so good to help the colony back on its feet!!!! x

I would say that if you are struggling in the 2nd half of your cycle, including something like flax can help a lot. Having said that, it is important to support with lifestyle too - a calmer time, less stressful exercise, think restorative xx
